RootHide Bootstrap for TrollStore
The Bootstrap, created by RootHide, stands as a groundbreaking application, enabling users to use jailbreak tweaks and apps seamlessly, even in the absence of a jailbroken environment. This innovative tool is compatible with a wide range of modern iDevices (from A8 to A17, including M1 and M2 chips) running iOS 14 through iOS 17.0. It is essential to install The Bootstrap by RootHide alongside TrollStore or TrollStore 2.
Download The Bootstrap IPA from RootHide
The Bootstrap was released as an IPA package that can be downloaded and imported into TrollStore 2. Alternatively, use the direct Install to download the app automatically with TrollStore. This feature requires you to enable the URL Scheme from TrollStore Settings.
What is The Bootstrap?
RootHide’s Bootstrap empowers users to apply tweaks to nearly all apps, although it currently lacks support for springboard tweaks, including those affecting the Home Screen, Lock Screen, Control Center, or Status Bar. Nevertheless, you have the option to install apps and jailbreak tweaks designed for system apps, providing configurability directly from the Settings app.
Upon launching the Bootstrap app, select “Bootstrap” to initiate the installation of essential apps and files. It provides the flexibility to incorporate various sources into Sileo or Zebra and facilitates the installation of tweaks. It’s worth noting that some tweaks may need to be converted to ensure compatibility with Bootstrap.
By default, tweaks are not automatically injected into any apps. To enable tweak injection, navigate to the “AppEnabler” section within the Bootstrap app. Here, you can toggle on the specific apps where you wish to activate your tweaks. It’s important to note that, currently, injection into SpringBoard or Photos app is not supported.
Not all tweaks are compatible with RootHide’s Bootstrap. A ‘Not Updated’ message signals that the tweak requires an update to be compatible with Bootstrap. To address this, install the Patcher through Sileo or Zebra package managers compatible with RootHide’s Bootstrap.
Sileo is a modern Package Manager for iOS 12 – iOS 17 that allows users to browse and install jailbreak packages (such as apps, tweaks, and themes) from different repositories. It’s designed to be as easy to use alternative for Cydia, with a clean and intuitive interface.
Warning: The Bootstrap Repo is public now and anyone can build and test it. A public IPA will not be released until the UI is merged and fixed for iOS 17.0 on A15+.
When attempting to install a tweak, select ‘Convert.’ In the ensuing share sheet, opt for the Patcher app. When converting a tweak to make it Bootstrap-compatible, you have the choice to either directly convert simple tweaks or employ the rootless compact layer. If a tweak doesn’t seamlessly convert using the direct method, consider trying the rootless compact layer. It’s essential to install rootless-compat as a dependency for this process.
